qwertyjjj
I am trying to install the new 3.05 version over the top of v2.72 but get a continuous error and the install fails. I have also tried uninstalling v2.72 from the Control Panel but get the same error: I am comfortable editing the registry if that will help ? usedHONDA
Try this http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=854 If none of that works, wait for Rick's reply. qwertyjjj
That worked, except I now have another slightly small bug. When I now right click on a JPG file and select "Open With", the text still displays v2.72 instead of the newer version. The file opens correctly though... usedHONDA
Nice to hear that it works. I guess the open with dialog will be solved in a near future release. That isn't a Paint.NET bug: Windows is caching the old name. It will fix itself within a day or so. qwertyjjj
nope, still there even after a couple of restarts. Any ideas for a registry setting?
Rick Brewster
It will fix itself eventually. I wouldn't worry about it too much -- it's just a little text in Windows that doesn't affect anything.
