usedHONDA
Some of you leave it as is, but lots of you make an origional layout. Here, you can post your themes, button locations, and extensions in your version of Firefox. My screenshot [click]: I left the theme alone because all of the others were too elaborate or weird. I also took out most of the buttons because there are keyboard shortcuts for them and I hardly use the forward/back and cancel buttons, so they stayed. I also mixed it up a bit by moving the buttons in the Google toolbar. I also integrated the bookmarks toolbar and an additional search bar with the Google toolbar to save space. Extensions: Adblock Plus- Blocks Google AdSense, fastclick media and more. Customize Google- Does some tweaks to enhance Google search tools. Examples: Clicking the thumbnail on Images takes you directly to the full-sized image (link to the original page below); View website emoticons in Google search results; Make Google more secure (https) Forum fixer- Optionally remove avatars, signatures, or external images (exceptions allowed) Gmail Space- easier file upload with a drag-n-drop system (looks kinda like the Outlook UI) Google Toolbar and Accelerator- I think you all know what that is Quote "The greatest thing about the Internet is that you can write anything you want and give it a false source." ~Ezra Pound twtr | dA | tmblr | yt | fb

usedHONDA
That was the purpose of the thread- to discover new extentions and expand on ideas. I just installed the Smart Bookmark Bar and the Favicon Picker to go with it (it changes bookmark favicons). Myrddin
No! My laptop is out of commission until Thursday so words will have to do 'till then. Picture the scene: Everything is stripped except the Menu bar which has all the useful icons on i.e. home, refresh (combined with stop) and TinyMenu even has all the menus down to just Bookmarks and a links folder showing. The tab bar only shows when I have more than one tab open so essentially there's only one row of stuff up there (great for screen real-estate). I use Fission for my progress bar, FasterFox to speed things up, IE Tab for those IE only sites, and of course to rid the web of adverts and other scripts NoScript. A nice Buuf theme to cap things off nicely. I will eventually be posting a screenshot but it's just shear bad luck I can't use this perfectly good excuse to flash off my FF . usedHONDA
Nice. I just installed fission, Tiny Menu, Splash, and a Vista inspired theme. I'll need to restart, but I have some important pages that can't be refreshed open. EDIT: Oh noes! I'm becoming a Firefox extension junkie! usedHONDA
Newest layout This was my pattern: Cancel/Google toolbar buttons Flexible space Separator Flexible space Bookmarks toolbar Flexible space Separator flexible space Google search/buttons Flexible space Separator Flexible space the rest of the stuff I also got a new toolbar/extension- web developer. I've already used it over 10 times today and love it. That extension makes it 15 in my library. Crazy Man Dan
My layout looks like so: My current theme is the Firefox 2 default. I have so many extensions that the extra buttons look glaringly out-of-place on third-party skins. It's not a bad looking skin either. My extensions are as follows: Adblock - It blocks ads! Brilliant! All-in-One Sidebar - Adds a sidebar for downloads, extensions, all that stuff. Answers - [Alt]-Click any word for quick info, including definitions and references. ColorZilla - Adds a color-picker to sample colors from webpages. DOM Inspector - Inspect the structure and properties of a window and its contents. DT Whois - Adds a button to instantly query Domaintool.com for Whois information on current site. FavLock - Adds a dropdown to Download dialog where one can store commonly used folder locations. Firebug - The best Extension ever for a web developer. Allows instant on-the-fly editing of a website in-browser, with access to HTML and CSS editing. Also allows for inspection of the DOM as it relates to the selected element. FireFTP - FTP client interface through Firefox. FoxyTunes - Adds music player controls to the Firefox status bar. Gmail Space - Allows the user to use the 2.8+ GB of Gmail space for file storage. H*R Toolbar - Adds toolbar buttons for searching and browsing the HomestarRunner site and HSR Wiki. HighlightAll - Highlights all occurrences of selected text on a page. Sage - Integrated RSS reader for Firefox. Tab Scope - Opens a window preview of the hovered tab, similar to Opera. Allows interactivity with each tabbed page without switching to that tab. Tabbrowser Preferences - Enhanced control over some tabbed-browsing options. TargetKiller - Forced override of target attributes on links, killing annoying new windows created automatically by sites. Web Developer - Adds intricate control over displayed content for troubleshooting purposes. WOT - Online site trust meter, alerting users of sites past users have considered as dangerous or untrustworthy. Yes, my browser start-up times are a little longer than usual... usedHONDA
You should upgrade to AdBlock Plus I used to have the Answers.com thing, but it eventually I came to realize that searching google works better. I'll be downloading ColorZilla I don't need firebug. I have Web Developer. Click a button and it opens a toolbar that alows you to do a whole bunch of stuff. It can do all of what you said, show hidden comments, validate web pages (and css), resize your browser window to your exact needs, and like 100 more things! Highlight all. Doesn't that come with FF? @Target Killer: I haven't gotten any popups since I downloaded AdBlocker+. Oh, I see you have Web Developer. I guess I don't need all of that info about it above.... Myrddin
Highlight all. Doesn't that come with FF? Yep, type the word in find and there's something along the lines of 'highlight all' next to the up and down. Not sure exactly but you get the jist. ...AdBlock Plus... never thought about this might try it tomorrow. usedHONDA
It will block just about every add there is. So far the counter says that 3383 ads were blocked. Myrddin
So far the counter says that 3383 ads were blocked. Wow, over what period of time? I use NoScript which seems to work great for blocking ads. It wasn't until using my parents comp and IE7 that I realised all the ads on this forum; nothing intrusive though. Actually, I've seen no-one using NoScript so far is there something people don't like about it? Or is because most of you need Java and stuff showing? usedHONDA
Wow, over what period of time? About a week an a half. EDIT: Actually 2 weeks. The only problem I've had (I think) is that ImageShack takes a long time to load because it doesn't stop trying to load the ads on their pages. So I disabled it for that site.
