lekremyelsew
Does anyone know a way to get Paint.NET on to linux? I recently got ubuntu on my computer cuz I absolutely hated Vista. I want a good graphics editor to use on my computer, and I am not very good with GIMP. I have heard of something called Wine, but I have no idea what it is. Anyone? The_Lionhearted
I'll ask my roommate when he wakes up tomorrow. He's one of those "Linux will solve world hunger" "I hate Windows" "who cares if it takes 10 hours to do...as long as you did it yourself" types... The_Lionhearted
"Mono" is the .Net Framework for Linux, however good luck getting Paint.Net to work on it. ^ The words from the man himself ^ Quote My Gallery

kreegee
Miguel de Icaza startet a mono-port for Paint.NET. check out http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2007/May-15-1.html and http://code.google.com/p/paint-mono/ The FAQ under http://paintdotnet.12.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=489 should probably be updated... Bob
We have used Paint.NET for a long time as a test for our Windows.Forms implementation. Until now, releasing the port was either painful or not very useful. We finally have a [good] implementation so now Paint.NET looks great. The port is not complete, but it works. Am releasing it to the public since so many people asked about it and volunteered to contribute to complete the port. Links: * The project home page: http://groups.google.com/group/mono-paint-port * Full post: http://tirania.org/blog/archive/2007/May-15-1.html Thanks, kreegee! Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio
