Hi All,

I'm a newbi and can't get the shadow effect to work even after reading the instructions. is there a simpler explanation or screenshots of that?

Sorry for my ignorance.

Appreciate your help.

If you're talking about this drop shadow plugin, it only works if the object you want to drop a shadow from is surrounded by transparency (grey checkers.)

v An excellent open–source strategy game—highly recommended.

...or is on its own layer and is surrounded by the image on the layer below...

I'm talking about the whole process. Somehow I don't get the transparency business. When I open a new layer and go to effects>drop shadow - nothing happens!

I opened a larger blank image, pasted on it my original image, and when I went to drop shadow - again, nothing!

What am I doing wrong???

Thanks
