amzparrot1
I am new to Paint.net. How do you create a banner to be included on a website? Also, how can you write text over a picture. If you can point me in the right direction that would be great Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
barkbark00
1. Open picture. 2. (optional) Add layer. 3. Select Text tool and write text (optional) on newly added layer. Quote Take responsibility for your own intelligence. -Rick Brewster
amzparrot1
How about with a colored background first. That is where I am running into trouble. Something similiar to these banners on this page. Are these difficult to do? http://www.lafeber.com/default.aspx [/img]
barkbark00
Its a good idea to keep the picture, colored box, and text all on separate layers. Start by opening your picture. Add a layer. On that layer use the rectangle selection tool to select the area where you want to have the colored background. Then use either the paintbucket fill with your desired color or use the gradient tool to fill the selection. After that you would want to add another layer and write your text on that...
