ScrapbookWithPDN
Not "What are you listening to now" from 2007, but a decent playlist of songs you listen to while working on something using PDN. Maybe help others learn about more good, Indie, or classic music out there. If it's not a violation of the rules, post a Youtube link to the video so we can find it and check it out. (Just in case, I'm not actually activating the links...one can copy and paste utube links anyone adds) Maybe some of us can find smore tunes we didn't know about, from others. This is one of the playlists I often resort to but I have about 20 of them....and about 37K songs. Here's one of my playists I often listen to on my media player: (I LOVE a lot of Indie Folk) Dreaming by Perfume Tree Anyway the Main Thing Is Never Been to Spain 3 Dog Night Mamma Told Me Not To Come Carlos Santana Oya Como Va Evil Ways Black Magic Woman Chris and Thomas Take These Thoughts Broken Chair You're the One I want Isabella Bouley La Lune https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0L5952k_h8 I LOVE a lot of Melody Gardot Les Etoiles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqh2lgLlHes Our Love is Easy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkBuxeIsXDo Wicked Ways https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aixOYpn-c2U My One and Only Thrill https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBWY6W1dSvE Deep Within The Corners https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQEz16re1-w The Mavericks (I just found these guys by accident a few months ago) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sSoSuGZzePE Come Unto Me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiIzChCyB8s Here Comes the Rain https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DPr_-X4vlQ&index=10&list=PLPu4qB-oNwshq2_vYVOrV0YtsT4mS1QNX Things I Can't Change https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kzp8tqgDIMk&index=15&list=PLPu4qB-oNwshq2_vYVOrV0YtsT4mS1QNX Buffalo Springfield Stop What's That Sound https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjSpO2B6G4s&list=PL90py9CFXOnV8yFebQv9kY3ltH7OY2VVM CCR Fortunate Son https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvwQmxLaknc Radar Love Golden Earring https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwqMKf7r7Xg Don't Fear the Reaper BOC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwqMKf7r7Xg Carry On My Wayward Son - Kansas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X_2IdybTV0 Ram jam https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X_2IdybTV0 Flower Duet https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2X_2IdybTV0 Duettino Sull'aria Le Nozze di Figaro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQ8ZHilxdm8 Evgenia Laguna "5th Element" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrrBlYphsdU Nessun Dorma https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMl124VvFRg Mike Buble Save the Last Dance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tXUxVWtyaU Sway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lZM-5SYr2Yk Pussycat Dolls Sway https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ykwoz688oF4 Diana Krull Temptation https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGV1T4wtL4A I even found a few cool tunes by accident. david.atwell
When I'm working, I usually just listen to rain sounds. It's very good white noise. 3 Quote The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. ScrapbookWithPDN
When I'm working, I usually just listen to rain sounds. It's very good white noise. White noise can be my friend, too, David. As long as it isn't SILENT. Plus, rain is gentle, relaxing, cozy, and peaceful.
Maximilian
I'll agree with all comments on the positiveness of rain. Thanks for the link, David!
BoltBait
I tried the rain track today. It worked well. Funny things though: - Every time I heard thunder, I instinctively pressed the Save button in the editor. and - At the end of the day, I saw clear skies as I left the building and I thought to myself, "oh, the rain must have stopped." Both my exact experiences! Part of why I use that site fairly often. The downside is, I listen to it fairly loudly, so when I pull off my headphones it almost feels painful as the sound stops so suddenly... racerx
I literally have thousands of songs and quite a lot of full albums on my HDD. I simply drag a folder into Foobar2000 and play away while I work. Having said that, it's hard to beat Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon" album for any project............. ScrapbookWithPDN
I'm a big Jesper Kyd fan. I have quite a few albums on my MP3 player - which my work colleagues are quite tired of Hey, I decided to check Jesper Kyd out (I'm always on the look-out for great music, regardless of any genre.) If that's the same one who wrote some of the soundtracks for Assassin's Creed, I have 3 of those selections already. They are extremely beautiful. I have them with my Hans Zimmer stuff. I didn't know the name of the composer was Jesper Kyd, though. So, thanks for putting that out there.
ScrapbookWithPDN
ScrapbookWithPDN! Many thanks. Some really listen very well. Thank you very much. Hi, Seerose. I'm so glad you found something on there you liked. That's why I say post music tunes you cruise along to while working with PDN. (I figured I couldn't be the ONLY one who plays the tunes while 'doin' stuff'.) Maybe some of us can find something we wouldn't otherwise know about. Even if it's not something one may like, another is bound to. It's win/win. Here's 3 more on my playlist I didn't add that I cruise along to while doing stuff on PDN: Some may remember this from the car chase scene in The 5th Element: Gotta love the Gypsy Kings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CC63XVl1a-4 and this beautiful song by Hans Zimmer, "Nyah"

NinthDesertDude
2000+ songs, hand-selected, all 3+ stars on a 5-star scale. Organized by overarching categories and sorted by band. Mostly 90's rock and metal. Rock is as soft as Phil Collins and metal is as strong as Dragonforce / Pantera. Not much indie or rap at all. 3 country songs. Ratings may be outdated as I change them often. Dig in; anybody will find something they like. List of Music.rtf
