How to "slant" ?

Recommended Posts

I am just a low-level paint.net enthousiast who recently found something on the schoolyard that just BEGS to be photoshopped. Now I am pretty sure that I could find all the toys I need in a big-timey photo-studio software package but what I am after is probably not anywhere near magical enough for it not to be in Paint.net. The only problem I have is that I have no idea what you would even call what I am looking for. ( also I do not have any big photo-studio software package experience anyway )

I want to edit the contents of a white board with black letters. The only problem is that I am not capable of taking pictures directly on the level and on a 90 degree angle of the sign. So I have to angle it somehow that it "fits". It merely needs to look passable and not like someone copypasted a 2D textfield onto a photo. If I am lucky the best outcome will probably be a couple of laughs and a print-out in the school newspaper anyway.

If someone could give me a few pointers I would be utmost gratefull

You could try the Rotate/Zoom tool in the Layers menu or you could try the Quadrilateral plugin; http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=13003

Welcome @Cloudkicker th the forum.

Here is a video which may gives you some ideas of how to super impose something over another image.

@ Ishi : I am not sure if I am allowed to do that ( not to mention the work-material is not even anywhere near me at the moment ) ... So I am just going to pull an example out of thin air.

... And whilst making this I probably figured out what I was looking for, it's called Roll / Rotate and is pretty much exactly where you guys said it was ( I just fudged it up myself by messing with the "pan" a while ago, just noticed it )

Thanks Skullbonz & Eli :)
