c0rncak3 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 (edited) Hey guys, first time poster here. I've used paint.net on occasion and I'm somewhat competent with it, but I need help with a specific request. I want to recreate the "Hotline Bling" album cover by Drake as an iPhone wallpaper with custom text in place of the "1-800-HOTLINEBLING". When I make one part of the text, I'm not sure how to make the text repeat above and below the center text while keeping it center. Could anyone give me some help please? I attached a link of what I'm aiming to recreate, obviously with my own custom text. https://41.media.tumblr.com/229f760d7f395b9bb3a825512d25c953/tumblr_nv1tj7qxy41ufsrxpo1_500.jpg Edited October 6, 2015 by c0rncak3 Quote
Ego Eram Reputo Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 1. Place your text on it's own transparent layer. Somewhere close to the top of your image will do. 2. Use the Align Object plugin to center it horizontally. 3. Use the Panelling plugin to repeat the text as many time as you want. However, I can't figure out how to duplicate the text with the Panelling plugin. Could you help me with that? Thanks again. Quote
Eli Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Try this: Create a canvas with the size needed. You can color your background. Add a new transparent layer. Type your text with the color you wish. Select only the text using the "Rectangular Select Tool" and copy it to the clipboard. Now use this effect: Fill from clipboard and adjust as needed. Quote
