nyctophiIe
I'm quite new to paint.net but I know the basics yet I cant make a selection of material in a right triangle shape. For example lets say i had a picture but I wanted to select a piece of that picture but in a triangle and be able to move it; How would I do that, if possible? ( imagine the red rectangle a triangle )
toe_head2001
Oh, you mean like this? 1) Use the Rectangle Select ( ) tool to draw a selection 2) Use the Move Selection ( ) tool to rotate the selection 45 degrees 3) Use the Rectangle Select ( ) on Subtraction mode to remove half of the selection 4) Use the Move Selection ( ) tool to rotate the selection -45 degrees Edited November 19, 2015 by toe_head2001 2 Quote My Gallery | My Plugin Pack Layman's Guide to CodeLab

jim100361
Another method is to use an image of a triangle on a separate layer, use the magic wand to make the selection, then with it selected, switch to the other layer you want to use it on. Ego Eram Reputo
Subtraction mode can be enabled from the icons in the Tool Bar when the selection tool is active, or by using Alt + Left Mouse Button.
