Spzi
I have paint.net 4.0.5 and I want to update to the newest version, I pressed check for updates and I got this... anything I can do about it? if not can I get an update without the check for updates button? I have so many plugins that I don't want to lose.
BoltBait
Yes, you can download paint.net updates directly from the web site: http://www.dotpdn.com/downloads/pdn.html You won't lose any plugins in the update process. HOWEVER, when updating paint.net, it would be a good idea to see if there are any updated plugins on the forums. For example, my plugin pack was updated specifically for paint.net 4.0.6 and after installing that update you can now download and install custom shapes. 1 Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Computer Dominos Game
midora
Just to say I got the same error on 4.0.5. And 4.0.6 has the same issue on my standard Windows 8.1 laptop (no additional protection tools installed). And I will not update to Windows 10.
