Background when erased white instead of transparent

Recommended Posts

Hi Zaye and Welcome to the forum :) .

Perhaps you still have the background layer active and checked, so that it looks like the white is still there?  If you have a checkerboard space where you deleted the white, then save in .png format to preserve the transparency.  Don't forget to uncheck the background layer before you save.

.... save in .png format to preserve the transparency.

Reckon this might be the problem. JPG's are notorious for replacing transparency (which they don't support) with white.

Also, if you're pressing "backspace" expecting it to delete the area, you're going to have a bad time.  :-)  You want the "Delete" key instead.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
