Is it possible to change image alignment?

Recommended Posts

Well, the thread title is my question.
But, just to elaborate...

When I open a new image, I want to align that image to the top left of the working window, with all my tool windows on the right.  I can't find a way to move an image out of its "centered" position in Paint.net.  Is this possible?  Is my version (3.5) just too old?

If I wrote that poorly, here's a visual explanation.

What Paint.net gives me:

What I want:

This is as good as you'll get.

Yes, and so is your operating system.
