suttree
Yes, I've read the "Restoring Lost Windows" forum post. I lost my layers window, and I couldn't get it back open, even using F7 or clicking the layers button. I reinstalled paint.net, but it just started where I'd had my windows before. I have now lost my colors window, so I really don't know what to do.
midora
If nothing helps at all then you may remove the related keys from the registry and let Paint.NET set the default positions at startup. Close Paint.NET. Unzip the attachment in you documents folder and execute the .reg file (typically by double click). The registry editor will ask you to confirm the operation. Open Paint.NET. Be aware that you are doing this on your own risk. This .reg files just removes the keys related to the floating windows. An admin may remove the attachment if she/he thinks this operation is to risky for a normal user. Restore Paint.Net Floating Windows.zip
