emailcooke
I tried adding the Alpha Blur plugin from this link: <A website that illegally redistributes plugins + viruses> After I do, I get a warning that says: alpha blur has encountered an error and must be closed I have tried several times. I have a purple map pin image with a white background and I have deleted the white background. I am just trying to give the outer most pixel on all edges a little opacity so it works well over different colors. Is this plug in the only option or is there an easier way to add opacity to the edge with precision? I have some of the other Blur features but they seem to be be adding more than I need. toe_head2001
I see you are downloading plugins from the Megalo site.... what "fun" for you. My condolences. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/28270-megalo-virus/ Anyways, there's several ways to fade the opacity of the edges. Probably the most straight forward and easiest way would be to use the 'Fade Edge' plugin. MJW
I think what you want is Object Feather from BoltBait's plugin pack. You might also try my own plugin, HSV Eraser, which when used with "Portion of Non-Erased Color to Preserve" set to 1, attempts to remove the background color while leaving the foreground color at the edges.
