Adding Opacity to edges

Recommended Posts

I tried adding the Alpha Blur plugin from this link:

After I do, I get a warning that says:

alpha blur has encountered an error and must be closed

I have tried several times. I have a purple map pin image with a white background and I have deleted the white background. I am just trying to give the outer most pixel on all edges a little opacity so it works well over different colors. Is this plug in the only option or is there an easier way to add opacity to the edge with precision? I have some of the other Blur features but they seem to be be adding more than I need.

I see you are downloading plugins from the Megalo site.... what "fun" for you. My condolences.

Anyways, there's several ways to fade the opacity of the edges. Probably the most straight forward and easiest way would be to use the 'Fade Edge' plugin.

(September 25th, 2023)  Sorry about any broken images in my posts. I am aware of the issue.
