iM x Andy
I am using the latest version of Paint.net and i have not had any problems until today But I was working on an image today and when i went to save it It poped up with an error reading "The procedure entry point could not be located in the dynamic link libary KERNEL32.dll" There is an "ok" button on that but it just loops and reopens indefinitly. I ended the process (losing the image i was working on) in order to stop it being on my screen as the error was always on top. I have reoped the program and all looks fine but if i just go straight to save to save the white screen it again crashes with the same error. I tried opening some images from a file and doing a small edit on them and hitting save, This saves and works fine because the file for this image already exists and it is just rewriting the file. But it does not seem to work when i try to save a new image. Does anyone know what causes this problem or what i can do to fix it? Thanks
Pixey
Hi Andy and Welcome to the forum . I may be wrong but It sounds like it may be a corrupted file somehere. Have you tried running a SFC tool scan? iM x Andy
Hi yes i have run an SFC scan and it didn't find anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Paint.net which made no difference. I was using it yesterday and it worked fine. I've been scowering the internet to find a solution but so far nothing has worked

skullbonz
What are you trying to save it as? It sounds like you are just using the "save" option instead of the :"save as" option. If that is so then you have to type in a name for it first and choose a place to save it. The reason you can save an existing file is because there is something it can replace. The reason you can not save a new file could be because that file does not exist yet. No it pops up with this error as soon as i click "save" or "save as" (meaning i click file -> Save as then the error pops up) I don't make it to the name/file format so im not trying to save it as anything.
