NorrinRadd
I had PAINT open, was working on a file, PAINT was still open but I opened PAINT again. Except it didn't open. I just pushed the icon to open it. I continued working on the file. Then, omniscient MS updated and shut all my files down. I can open all the other files, except that one PAINT file that was open when I opened PAINT again. Which didn't open.So... I couldn't open a PDN file even with GIMP. I downloaded the latest PAINT version, which won't open the file, but it does give me info which I have tried seven ways to post here in the window but it won't post. So I need two kinds of help: 1. How to copy and paste the error message, and 2. How to open my file. Thanks for any advice. Norrinradd

Ego Eram Reputo
Sounds like the file has become corrupted. Without a copy of it it is difficult to tell.I wasn't aware that GIMP opened PDN files.Try zipping the file and posting it as an attachment to one of your posts in this thread. If it has become corrupted, you might be able to restore a recent version by right clicking on the file and selecting "restore previous version" from the context sensitive menu. NorrinRadd
Thank you. When I right-click on the file, I do not get that option. When I click Select, however, it gives me these Details, why it won't open. NorrinRadd
I will zip it and attach it presently. It's a 50+ layer file for a children's book I am illustrating, for my nieces and nephews, for next Christmas. Thanks.

Ego Eram Reputo
Try uploading to a Dropbox account. They are easy and free. Copy the link & send it to me in a Private Message (PM). I'll see what I can do.
