Rick Brewster
This is just a minor update that fixes a few small bugs that have been found since 3.0's release. Get it the usual way: either via the built-in updater (Help->Check for Updates), or from the website at http://www.getpaint.net/ Changes: * Fixed: Crash when trying to save a palette with a blank name * Fixed: Changing an image's DPI resolution did not set its "dirty" flag (you would not be asked to save changes) * Fixed: Error messages at startup were covered by the splash screen * Fixed: Crash when a modal dialog was open (such as an effect) when the user tried to logoff/restart/shutdown Windows, and they chose to save their images * Mitigated some CPU usage issues when the app was minimized and a complex selection was active Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html
Bob
Wouldn't it be Finish? Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. And... *poof!*—just like that—he disappears into the mist again. ~Helio
Crazy Man Dan
It changes to Finish, once it's ready to Finish. Bob
I'm not sure that was its behavior in previous versions, but I can be wrong. Quote No. Way. I've just seen Bob. FrEaK
just a question for future reference, does downloading this delete custom plugins? Quote Site: RIP =(
Crazy Man Dan
Nope. Your Plugins and File Types folders remain intact. Rick Brewster
It's not done yet. Why would it say Finish? The behavior you are seeing is correct. FrEaK
ok, another question, whats the difference between the 50mb one and the 5mb one? when trying to install the 5mb one I get a huge mass of errors Quote Site: RIP =(

Crazy Man Dan
FrEaK: The 50MB installers include the .NET runtime environment. It's the 4th column from the left in the table on the download page. crosswalker
when trying to install the 5mb one I get a huge mass of errors That's probably because your system doesn't already have .NET 2.0 installed. Try the 50MB version (long download, but once .Net is installed, you won't have to install it again for that version)
The Slippster
A BIG THANK YOU! I had written you guys off. its GREAT to be back! Paint.net is HANDS DOWN- the single most used pic editor ive ever tried- and ive tried A LOT OF THEM. Photoshop is a JOKE for most NEW users. "do what- to what- with what?" most are NOT noob- or even newb- friendly. * Fixed: and they chose to save their images WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!! thank you! thank you! thank you! thank you! thank you! YOU GUYS ROCK! Slippster EDIT: by the way- after it crashed ( well....actually, it froze up) several times trying to save a pic, I uninstalled it and went on a world-wide-web-search for an app to replace Paint.net. YOULL BE HAPPY TO KNOW- -THERE ISNT ONE. Quote yes, im a real person, not a spambot.

barkbark00
According to the forum rules, you cant YELL LIKE THIS or use a billion exclamation or question marks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think the rule only applies to unnecessary CAPs and exclamation points. Should be fine if it is actually justified... Quote Take responsibility for your own intelligence. 😉 -Rick Brewster
Helio
Exactly. Obviously The Slippster is in a state of euphoria. BTW, good work, Rick. Rick Brewster
Yeah use of capitals is a little more acceptable when saying "thanks" and when not used as the thread title. When somebody says "THANKS!" you don't reply with "turn off your caps lock", you say "you're welcome!" autolisp
The version 3.0 installed easily. This version will only give a list of errors. I tried downloading and installing the 50mb one. I still get the same error messages, loads of em. If I can't install it easily. I will not use it! I even tried installing framework 2 separately. Still same errors.
