charmer
I may be missing something obvious, but is it possible to change the default format Paint.Net uses to save files. At the moment, I hit CTRL + Shift + S and PNG is selected in the 'Save as type' menu. Can this be changed to TIF ... or anything else for that matter? Cheers! BoltBait
If the canvas is single layer, the default is PNG. If the canvas is more than one layer, the default is PDN. charmer
OK, fair enough. At least I know I'm not going blind. Do you think that this might be an option which is added in the future?

usedHONDA
PNG is much better than tiff. PNG is actually smaller than a normal tiff and is more widely supported. But I guess you work with tiff more for some reason. charmer
PNG is much better than tiff. PNG is actually smaller than a normal tiff I agree entirely, but I have to work with TIFs. It's not a major problem... I could just save a littletime by not having to keep selecting a different format every time I save file. crosswalker
If it would save considerable time (and if you're programaticaly inclined) you could download the source code and change that feature.
Rick Brewster
Or just train your hands to press TAB and then T after you type in the filename.
