Eli 1,005 Report post Posted September 13, 2014 Thank you. Now I can make a "Where is Waldo?" game. A couple of requests: 1. an option to add a drop shadow (just to give an impression of depth). 2. An option to keep the scattered image inside the edges of the main page or a selected area.
TechnoRobbo 1,157 Report post Posted September 13, 2014 2. An option to keep the scattered image inside the edges of the main page or a selected area. The plugin uses selections to mask the image. 1. an option to add a drop shadow (just to give an impression of depth). That would be a big rewrite. right now it's random sizes. In order to include visual cues for depth, I would have to render small to large, offset silhouette first. I'll play around with it,but no promises. BTW. I found Waldo. Pratyush 92 Report post Posted September 13, 2014 Thank you and I'm sorry but I've forgotten, what was the request? Don't mind if you do not remember. I had sent you a plug-in request in a PM ages ago. (long before i introduced myself in forum) I had thought that this plugin would be more complex than other plugins, so it might take much time to complete. If that happened, I didn't wanted that anyone had who got interested in request and had to wait long. So, i didn't requested in forum making a new topic. I will send you another mail asking for that. If possible, please look into that. . Anyway, thanks for all your efforts. I like them very much.
Red ochre 1,434 Report post Posted September 13, 2014 Re Drop shadows.Include a semi-transparent shadow in your original image eg. http://i.imgur.com/PU8GywP.png Creates a reasonable depth effect. http://i.imgur.com/zTMgTrP.png Request:Is there any chance of limiting the amount of random rotation with a slider, 0 to 360?If awkward don't worry - it could be very useful if possible though. Thanks for considering.Great plugin!
Eli 1,005 Report post Posted September 13, 2014 I thought about Red ochre's solution for the drop shadow and yes it gives the impression of depth. However, the shadow looks like it came from multiple light sources not one. I also think that an option to control rotation would be a good idea. For my second request I meant to have an option to keep, for example, in this image, all the mapple leaves inside a selection without being cropped at the edges of the selected area. Thanks for the Rep.
TechnoRobbo 1,157 Report post Posted September 13, 2014 Red and Eli, Nice work around but I got it covered. One important note - I did not take in to account the Z-order of the objects - smaller objects do not get occluded by larger ones. Shadows are easy. Z-Order would be the big re-write. Z-order can be accomplished by multiple layers. Version 1.1 uploaded - Shadow system in place. (you may have to hit reload onyour browser to see the updated image)
