jenny0594
Hi I am a bit of a beginner with paint.net and would like to see if someone could point me in the direction of creating my own custom shapes. I am looking at creating hearts, starts, squiggle lines, circles with different style edges to them, all of which I want to be able to fill with colour or patterns. I hear lots of people talking about plugins but not sure what I need or where to get them. I have tried to upload a picture of the kind of thing I mean but it wont let me. I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance
Pixey
Hi Jenny and Welcome to PDN . Yes, you will require a Plugin or two to get started. This Plugin has a lot of the shapes you speak about: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/22500-red-ochre-plug-in-pack-v9-updated-30th-july-2014/ And Shapes by Madjik: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/7186-madjik-all-plugins-last-updated-2012-01-01/ And here is the link on how to install them: http://boltbait.com/pdn/InstallingEffects.php It does take quite a while to get the hang of it but don't be afraid to ask for help if you get stuck. I am looking forward to reading lots of tips and info on here as I really like paint.net its one of the more straight forward programmes I have used however shame I cannot get it to work with vector files unless its just me. I will go and take a look at the links you have posted. Thanks again for your help, much appreciated, wish me luck
