Rick Brewster
GIF error diffusion dithering was just recently completed and will be available in the next release (Beta 3). In the save dialog, the 'threshold' value determines the cut-off point for when a color is considered to be transparent. If a color's alpha component is less than the threshold value, then it will be written to the GIF as a fully transparent pixel. Rick Brewster
We don't use a "color key" for saving transparent GIF images. For a pixel to be saved into a GIF as transparent, it must have an Alpha value that is below the threshold that you specify in the Save Configuration dialog (File -> Save As). Rick, How do I get to the Save Configuration dialog? With v 2.5, when I go to File -> Save As I just get a normal save dialog. Thanks. Mangix
i think that the other menu comes after you chose the file to save it to.
Crazy Man Dan
Yep, Mangix is right. You get the compressor options dialog once you pick your extension and click "Save." Each file type has it's own set of options, so you have to pick your file type before any program would know what options to send you.
