First sig --> 8/10 the swirly things on the right look pretty cool and i like the way the samurai has glowing eyes making him look evil

Second sig --> 9/10 the guy on the left looks as if he is melting away as the lines are coming out of him. nice use of the dents plugin.

Quite simple, but fairly nice. However, the colour scheme does not apeal to me.

However, I think you could come up with a more creative background. Also, you should add a border. I think it gives off a smoothness though 8.1/10

More effects, C4Ds BUT ONLY AS A LAST RESORT, look at some photoshop tuts to get ideas.
