I have a couple of nice color palets I made using PDN's feature that let's a person do that, but my text is slightly worded different than the color pallet files posted here. (I don't know where that "hide" feature is on posting that spares people a lengthy content of info or I would use it for the below color palette. I hover my mouse over each little button thing to read it and none say "hide".

I call this one:

"Old Wooden Boat on the Beach"

When I figure out how to use the "hide" feature, I'll come back in here and hide the lengthy hex number code things....or one of the admins can do it to my post. I don't find that offensive or such.

Ha, i was just thinking about starting this same topic, good thing I did a quick search first. Well, here's my palette:

j2kpaletteih8.png

Also, I don't know if it's a bug or what but if you type in a number on the "V" slider then post it to your palette when you click that color again it's -1 of the # you put in. It can get kinda annoying when trying to make your palette haha.

Hi TheVoid - your image is not displaying for me - after "here's my pallete:" the next line has a blank thumbnail image with "Posted Image" beside the right.

Been lurking for ages, but I created an account to share this palette for use in conjunction with the Lego image tutorial; It contains every colour of Lego brick currently produced by Lego including transparencies arranged in order of the Lego wiki page. When I try to post the imgur link however it comes up with an ad for a moving company, so here's a direct link;

https://imgur.com/a/ZitL3

And the palette;

It depends of what you call "main colours".

You don't like the default palette?

Wait a minute...

https://pixelation.org/index.php?topic=8408.msg97842#msg97842

That message is exactly the same, except that the apostrophe has been removed. I don't know why it was made, as that thread does not talk about "main colours" anywhere else. What happened?

No one here is going to know either. Go ask on that forum...

RBYPGO (Red, Blue, Yellow, Purple, Green, Orange) palette.

Several tints and shades of the three primary and three secondary colors of the color wheel.

Used by me for creating Barn Hunt course maps for my practice area.

The easiest way is to modify an existing palette and save it (see http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/WorkingWithPalettes.html)

OR

Make an image with a nice palette and use this plugin to export the palette Palette from Image

Palettes need to be in *.txt format so paint.net can read them. As the above link shows, you can load different palettes easily.

 I would just like to add, that the plugin referenced here is on a thread that is closed. The plugin download is just a series of many numbers but when downloading "Palette from Image" before saving the file to your computer, or external source, just delete those crazy numbers and rename it to "Palette from Image" and also add the .zip extension at the end.

Also, it does still work. I just tried it with the 4.1.5 version of Paint.Net, however, at this time the plugin only saves the new palette in the "Documents" file folder.  You name your palette before saving it. You'll find its .txt file in Documents. Currently, one can only make one palette at a time. If you want to make more, you'll have to close Paint.Net entirely, reopen it, and use the plugin again to make another one...and, frankly, Paint.Net  opens like it's running on a Ferrari engine, so, it's not a big deal to me. ...or maybe I'm just not too picky? I mean, plugins are like presents. Sometimes it's like Christmas, Hanukkah, and birthdays around this place, all through the year, for everyone. I always love my presents around this place and I'm grateful to the present providers. So, if one's not completely broken, but just a little dented, well, I don't mind.

EDIT: thanks to david.atwell for the most excellent showing of when to use a hide tag! :D

The Blue pallet is just the same as the Sepia palette. Please fix this
