dreddbatfan Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 I've been trying to make a blank template that's 4 1/2" wide x 11/16" high and I haven't been able to do it using paint.I've been trying to make it for the last 2 hours with no luck and the Rhuematoid Arthritis in my hands have made them hot and swollen now and it's even hard to type this post but I'll get through it.I plan on making the background a solid color and put colored text in it.I'm using it for a couple of action figures.I'm attaching a picture of what I'm trying to achieve with the template.I hope someone on this website can help me with this quick task(for everybody else but me). When I go to print this template out I would like it to print out in the above dimensions. Thanks to anyone who can help and I hope to get a response real soon. Ego Eram Reputo Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 Hi Danny! Let's see if we can help you. You need to make your canvas... 4 1/2 x 300 = 1350 pixels wide 11/16 x 300 = 206 pixels high Print it at 300 DPI using this plugin Print It. Installation instructions are given along with the plugin. Good luck! Cc4FuzzyHuggles Posted July 9, 2014 Posted July 9, 2014 (edited) Hi, sorry, I'm really bad at setting canvas sizes to accurate printing sizes, but I think you will want to turn your attention to the "New Image" dialog box, where you can choose to make the canvas by inches. Perhaps this paint.net documentation will help : http://www.getpaint.net/doc/latest/FileMenu.html Aside from that, be careful when asking for some kinds of help, as it would be a shame for your thread to be closed if it breaks forum rules. See Rule # 23. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/2932-read-first-the-rules-yes-you-read-this-2013-12-21/Good luck on getting things worked out. Cc4FuzzyHuggles Posted July 10, 2014 Posted July 10, 2014 (edited) Place your text on it's own layer, then try one of these plugins :In this pack is my favorite "Object Align" plugin http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/8375-drop-shadow-and-other-effects-krisvdms-plugin-pack-updated-2010-10-26/Others like the "Align Object" plugin though : http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/4193-align-object-plugin-updated-06172007/Don't know how to install plugins?
