I have a new Windows 8 computer and I like to edit photos. But I can't because of this bug. If anyone could help me out it would appreciated. :)

I don't have to click its just when I have my paint brush out and move my mouse about in the window it makes this black flashing trail of dots.

Hello, find the settings icon :Settings: in the upper right corner of Paint.net 4.0 and click it. Then turn off "Hardware accelerated rendering (GPU)" and see if that fixes things for you. :)

Thanks so much! :D

As that worked for you, please post the contents of the Settings > Diagnosics tab here so the Developer can view your system details.
