Paint.NET Help Page: Keyboard & Mouse Commands

Recommended Posts

Even if the page will be touched for version 4, I would like to add a reminder that there are some wrong shortcuts already for 3.5.11.

Image List and Image Navigation: Switch to image

    Ctrl - 0 and Alt - 0 to switch to Image 10 is wrong because

View Menu: Actual Size:

    Ctrl + Shift + A or Ctrl + Alt + 0 is wrong and must be Ctrl + 0

A remark in the section would be fine that Ctrl + + and other non-letter shortcuts combined with a modifier may not work on non-english keyboards. (i.e. Ctrl + + is not working on a german keyboard because you can not reach + without SHIFT).

Also the "Move selected pixels" and "Move selection" tools in both versions are marked with the same keyboard shortcut , "M" . I never use the shortcuts so it really doesn't matter to me though.

Yeah. You press it twice to activate the 2nd one.

Oops! Thanks, I'll make sure it's fixed.

Same multiple key-press system works for the Selection Tools....

S = Rectangle Select

S(x2) = Lasso Tool

S(x3) = Ellipse Select

S(x4) = Magic Wand
