natjo1986
So here is the deal I'm in love with PDN. My love affair is only being hindered by my mouse. So I need a graphics tablet to let my love blossom. The thing is though I'm not a big spender. So I have found the Adesso Cyber Tablet 6400 it is only $55 from J&R Electronics. The reason I'm particularly drawn to J&R is because they have free shipping and no taxes outside of NY. I'm also assuming that this is a reputable brand, the Adesso website looks nice, and pretty much everywhere I go on the net looking for graphics tablet they have Adesso products. I'm not quite sure though about some things and I would like them cleared up with the people who do have graphic tablets. 1. Has anyone every used or heard of Adesso products? 2. Is a 6.25" x 4.75" active area large enough area for PDN? 3. What should I look for in a graphics tablet? P.S.A link to J&R Electronics about the tablet. BoltBait
I have never tried this one, but I can tell you that it's pretty small. The way graphics tablets work, the larger the tablet, the higher the resolution you will be able to draw--that is, the more detail your drawings will be able to have. usedHONDA
That is kinda small. My Wacom is 12" x 9" (I think). No matter what the size of your tablet is you will still be able to draw at any level of detail simply by using the zoom tool. Detail is relative to how far you are zoomed in. The only issue I see with that pad is the need for batteries in the pen and mouse. From what I understand, most of the Wacoms and a few other brands don't need batteries in the pens and mice. Its not a big deal, but if your in the middle of a drawing and the pen batt dies, thats gonna suck. usedHONDA
So in that sense, BoltBait got pwned/pn'd/owned/? BoltBait
So in that sense, BoltBait got pwned/pn'd/owned/? If you like. I think we are actually referring to the same thing. My point was that the graphics tablet drawing surface equates to your entire screen. So, the larger the tablet, the better control of your system. Picc84
Your both right... Boltbait is true even with the zoom, because when you zoom in, no matter what, it helps to have a big tablet...
