Im thinking of getting a new mouse, my current one is too small. Something i was curious about was if PDN has any programmable functions that can be assigned to extra mouse buttons, and if not, if it will ever be added to the dev list? It would be quite cool to assign a plugin like 'center object' to a mouse button or something like that.

My main question is if it would EVER be implemented, if thats the case then ill look more into some more funky mice.

Not a plugin - they MUST play nicely with Paint.NET.  Hooking into the system this way would not be appropriate for a plugin.

3rd party?  It may be possible to map an extra mouse button to a keyboard shortcut.  I recommend you do a bit more research on this idea.

Look into things like AutoHotKey.  That might help you out.  Map an obscure key combination to an action, then map that obscure key combo to the mouse button.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'non standard'?

Plugins cannot have their own assigned shortcut. It's not able to be specified from within the plugin.

You are able to run a plugin using keystrokes which open and drill down the menu system. Would that work for you?
