klingon_sw
These files I do not need and I really don't want. On a swedish WinXP I know I don't need German, French, Korean, Portuguese and Chinese files. Or am I wrong!? In future versions of Paint.NET I hope I don't see this anymore
Rick Brewster
It's not like they take up much space. This dialog will not be removed, you must have these files in place to prevent it from being displayed. Imagine if you were a user who spoke one of those other languages -- it would be important for you to have the UI shown in the language of your choice. If the resource file for that language was deleted somehow* then the UI would be shown in English. Which would suck. So, we detect these deleted files (along with several other DLL files) and attempt to repair it. * I'm not making stuff up. One of the most common crash logs I get e-mailed to me indicates that the strings/resources files were deleted. Having an auto-repair ability complete prevents this problem. Rick Brewster
I don't understand what you're asking for, or why. The additional languages take up a miniscule amount of disk space. larjohn
Paint.NET is free and open source. That way, international support must be included in every installation as it doesn't consum any space (less than 5 MB surely). Kepp them present.
