dalich
I'm experimenting with a digital IR camera. The images are very "magenta" in color and everyone states to simply "swap the Red and Blue" color channels. How can this be done in Paint.net? Is there a plugin that would help process IR color pictures?
BoltBait
I'm not sure that's going to fix your problem: Quote Click to play: Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and how about a Computer Dominos Game
dalich
Here is a picture with a auto-white balance in the camera... I'm open to suggestions here... Are there any suggestions or plugins that can be used for Infrared images?
pdnnoob
The problem with "adjusting" the color in an IR image is that IR is a "color" by itself. We just can't see it with our own eyes. IR light isn't emitted or reflected in the same ratios as other wavelengths of light, so no matter how you adjust this image through the RGB spectrum, something will always be off because that's simply not how the other wavelengths of light were reflected. In terms of color channels, what you are looking at is not the Red, Blue, OR Green channel. That's the IR channel. You aren't supposed to be able to see that, so it won't ever look "natural." pdnnoob
Stus's Plugin pack has an adjustment plugin called "RGB Remapper." You can use that to swap the red and blue channels (set red to 0 0 255, green to 0 255 0, and blue to 255 0 0). From the looks of the tutorial, the rest can be done with the hue and saturation adjustment and Tanel's Color Mixer plugin Quote No, Paint.NET is not spyware...but, installing it is an IQ test. ~BoltBait Blend modes are like the filling in your sandwich.
