Rubilax
Paint.NET has been working perfect for me until around last month when began to crash every time I tried to open a picture or save a new one, and I've done everything from uninstalling, reinstalling, uninstalling with IObit Uninstaller that went into the registry as well, reinstalled .NET framework multiple times, deleted all traces of PDN from my computer and reinstalling, and now I'm out of ideas. I've read through tons of posts about this, and nothing so far has worked. And something I just discovered today, strangely enough, I'm able to click off the popup window and work on my picture, but can only use the tools and save, effects do not work. This is the error message I receive every time: http://gyazo.com/e992f0e3754a06d5793a5900746804e9 Exception details: System.Runtime.InteropServices.ExternalException: A generic error occurred in GDI+. at System.Drawing.Image.Save(Stream stream, ImageCodecInfo encoder, EncoderParameters encoderParams) at PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.Settings.SetImage(String key, Image value) in D:\src\pdn\pdn_3_5_11\src\SystemLayer\Settings.cs:line 382 at PaintDotNet.MostRecentFiles.SaveMruList() in D:\src\pdn\pdn_3_5_11\src\PaintDotNet\MostRecentFiles.cs:line 205 at PaintDotNet.Controls.DocumentWorkspace.AddToMruList() in D:\src\pdn\pdn_3_5_11\src\PaintDotNet\Controls\DocumentWorkspace.cs:line 1635 at PaintDotNet.Controls.AppWorkspace.OpenFilesInNewWorkspace(String[] fileNames) in D:\src\pdn\pdn_3_5_11\src\PaintDotNet\Controls\AppWorkspace.cs:line 2381 at PaintDotNet.Actions.OpenFileAction.PerformAction(AppWorkspace appWorkspace) in D:\src\pdn\pdn_3_5_11\src\PaintDotNet\Actions\OpenFileAction.cs:line 43 at PaintDotNet.Controls.AppWorkspace.PerformAction(AppWorkspaceAction performMe) in D:\src\pdn\pdn_3_5_11\src\PaintDotNet\Controls\AppWorkspace.cs:line 1879 at PaintDotNet.Controls.AppWorkspace.CommonActionsStrip_ButtonClick(Object sender, EventArgs`1 e) in D:\src\pdn\pdn_3_5_11\src\PaintDotNet\Controls\AppWorkspace.cs:line 2590 at PaintDotNet.Controls.CommonActionsStrip.OnButtonClick(CommonAction action) in D:\src\pdn\pdn_3_5_11\src\PaintDotNet\Controls\CommonActionsStrip.cs:line 123 at PaintDotNet.Controls.CommonActionsStrip.OnItemClicked(ToolStripItemClickedEventArgs e) in D:\src\pdn\pdn_3_5_11\src\PaintDotNet\Controls\CommonActionsStrip.cs:line 138 at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.HandleItemClick(ToolStripItem dismissingItem) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.HandleMouseUp(MouseEventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mea) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStrip.WndProc(Message& m) at PaintDotNet.SystemLayer.ToolStripEx.WndProc(Message& m) in D:\src\pdn\pdn_3_5_11\src\SystemLayer\ToolStripEx.cs:line 84 at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) Edited December 26, 2013 by Rubilax
