resizing characters for insertion on to a background

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am trying to fix the above picture to the canvas .

I have a background picture downloaded from the net, the picture fills the default size of the paint.net canvas

and is 110 Kbyte, the two pictures I want to insert on the picture are 121 Kbyte and 1.4 Mbts.

As soon as I insert the 1.4Mb picture on to the background picture this resizes it's self and shoot up to the left hand top corner of the canvas, how can I fix it so that it remains it's original position.

An help will much appreciated.

Thank you

The first image is not resizing itself.  The canvas is resizing itself and the zoom is changing to accommodate it.  Paste the larger image onto a different image (File > New), then resize it to the correct size and copy it over onto the first image.

The Doctor: There was a goblin, or a trickster, or a warrior... A nameless, terrible thing, soaked in the blood of a billion galaxies. The most feared being in all the cosmos. And nothing could stop it, or hold it, or reason with it. One day it would just drop out of the sky and tear down your world.
Amy: But how did it end up in there?
The Doctor: You know fairy tales. A good wizard tricked it.
River Song: I hate good wizards in fairy tales; they always turn out to be him.
