Avatar Appreciation

Recommended Posts

Yes, it is my siggy and yes it is old. I've kept with it because it has become familiar and it's one of the very first complex (just under 30 layers)images I've created using PdN. I'm sure I could recreate it using half, if not less, of the layers it took back then. I've thought about switching out the old logo for the new one but I decided to keep it as is. Anyway, I'm very proud of it.

Buzzkill, I love the new Sig, but the old lettering was much better!

I agree, I think the lettering in the updated one does not have enough contrast in it.

I disagree, it's better as it's now.

I think [the text] is better because it's more sharp.

I think the whole "shine" in the upper left is way over done.

I think I'm gonna have to agree with you on that.

Thanks for all the constructive criticism. This updated sig is by no means complete, as I am struggling to find a happy median between the two. Oh, the horror of it all...

EDIT:

^Thoughts?

Oh, I meant, get rid of it altogether.

Honestly, I've never been a fan of that sort of thing.

By "way over done" I meant, too many people are doing it. Kind of like the whole "wet floor" thing. (Of course, I'm guilty of that one myself.)

If you're going to keep it, your current sig looks best in that regard.

Oh, well, the shine is staying.

As for the wet floor look, I'm never giving that up. It has sort of become my niche.

Anyway, I'm done fooling around with it, for now.

Thanks again to all for the input. :)
