Daveed
Hi! I got a problem: I want to define a color in a PNG-Image as transparent. I'm able to do that with Word or PHP, but I don't challenge it to define a color as transparent on Paint.NET. Could anybody help? Thanks, David
BoltBait
Just select the area you want to be transparent and press the delete key. You will see a "checkerboard" pattern where the transparent areas are located. Save your file as PNG and your transparent area will be transparent. BuzzKill
Shift+Magic Wand along with a low Tolerance setting allows you to select a specific color throughout the entire image. Daveed
Thanks!! But is there any way to select an area with the same color (like the fill-tool, with the difference, that it selects instead of fill)?

Yes, the magic wand combined with the threshold. Here, I've circled the magic wand tool in red:
usedHONDA
If you want just that specific color, put the tolerance bar down to 0%.
