Daniels
I've only seen Episode 1... I'm sure that if I watched the original trilogy, I'd like it better. I've recently gotten into Doctor Who and Star Trek: Next Generation, so I'm coming around to the Sci-fi genre. Welsh: I'll have to check Red Dwarf out sometime. RFX
Star Wars is pretty good although I'm more into shows like The Universe which are documentaries on astrophysics.
pdnnoob
I wouldn't call myself a hardcore fan; but seeing the responses from the others here, I guess owning all six episodes makes me more of a fan than most of you... barbieq25
Star Trek - Jean-Luc Picard + Deanna Troi were unforgetable! Dr Who, can you believe it has been going this long? Star Wars has a serious cult following but even those who are not die-hard fans are familiar with it. HELEN
I didn't really like Star Wars. The only thing I liked about Star Wars were the two robots--R2D2 and c3po. Star Trek I liked a lot better. I particularly liked the Data character just because he was funny and he always something quirky to say. 1 Quote Don't spit into the well, you might drink from it later. -----Yiddish ProverbGlossy Galaxy Ball---How to Make FoliageMy Gallery PDN Fans--My DA
Yusuf Zah
Thanks for your views. Star Wars is very interesting. I have watched episode 1-6 and its great fun. Don't get me wrong, I am not critizng your opinions. By the way, I have not watched star trek yet but it must be a great movie. The original trilogy is episode 4-6. @ Helen, Congratulations on winning the Big Bird Award. I wonder if EER is interested in Star Wars. PS: Star Wars is interesting but I shall not continue watching after episode 6. I am now not much interested in a Star Wars discussion so I won't create one. Thank you all for your opinions and I really appreciate them. Thank you for talking about Star Trek. Maybe I'll see it later. barbieq25 said: "Star Wars has a serious cult following but even those who are not die-hard fans are familiar with it." welshblue said: "As BarbieQ' says ... one of those things even if you don't watch/ follow it's out there and sticks in the mind" What bbq25 and welshy said implies a true fact : Even if you are not much interested in Star Wars, you can still know some things about it. Thanks Edited August 12, 2013 by Yusuf Zah

If you think you are a bigger fan than me , try this: I own all six episodes, I've gone as a Star Wars character on Halloween for 5 years straight, can beat anyone in Battlefront 2 (and know every path to every map by heart), and I defend my turf witha lightsaber. Yusuf Zah
Thanks anyway but I don't think that I am a star wars fanatic, just a fan who sometimes likes to talk about it. By the way, when I said star wars I was referring to the movies and not the video games. Well, its okay Snoipeh but the best place to talk about video games is the Video Games Thread. So games don't count here as being a fan (according to me). Sorry, if I was rude, I should have stated that it was only the movies considered. Yup, you are a great fan alright if you watched all 6 episodes and attended 5 parties as a star wars character. Thanks a lot, everyone Edit: I am interested in Star Wars but no a fanatic. Kemaru
I've only watched the original trilogy. Good fun, culturally significant: "there is no try", "I feel a great disturbance in the Force" and "Luke I'm your father" and so on. The last one is probably the world's most spoiled plot-twist by now shame, because it's an amazing one. Kemaru
alright, why not? "och" caused me a massive some headache but I got the basic idea down now, I'll draw it tomorrow. I love ambigrams, anagrams and anything loosely word-related. And to keep on topic, Darth Vader is my favourite character off the trilogy, Obi-Wan is second. minners71
Am I a Star Wars fan lets see. Original trilogy without extra scenes or effects on VHS Original trilogy with extra scenes and effects on VHS Original trilogy with extra scenes and effects on DVD Original trilogy with extra scenes and effects on BluRay Second trilogy on Bluray downloaded versions ( sorry but couldn't bring myself to pay for them ) Also love Star trek ( Voyager and Enterprise being my favs ) Stargate ( universe being my fav and later seasons of SG1 ) Red Dwarf ( fond memories from teenage years ) Although rewatching them again the first 5 seasons are a bit hit and miss Doctor Who never got into it always seemed a bit childish/mainstream although I like the look of the new doctor and did watch the first of the new versions with Christopher Ecclestone. Looking forward to the new Star Wars hopefully Disney will do a better job than Lucas.

skullbonz
Oh, and by "defending my turf", I mean running after cars swinging my lightsaber like crazy. Do you really chase cars with your light saber ? Yusuf Zah
Skullbonz has a point there. Who would chase cars anyway and swing a lightsaber like crazy. Nevermind, its only a joke of course since you will lose a lightsaber. For a Jedi a lightsaber is something they cherish for a long time. So do not run off like that, lightsabers are very expensive. By the way Snopieh, you are more of a Star Wars fan than me. I have watch all six episodes and sometimes talk about Star Wars and I am not a die-hard fan. Anyway, what characters have you dressed up as? Well, I could start off a new discussion thread or we could turn this thread into a discussion itself.
