Mr Aka Posted July 17, 2013 Share Posted July 17, 2013 So, I have recently started to do some gfx work. You know like forum avatars and siggys. Most of these are avatars on a resizeable pokemon forum I'm apart of. Anyway I have only been doing this for about 2-3 weeks I don't remember exactly. Well I'm seeking advice for my work. Pretty much these are just rendered images posted on a textured background and then altered a little ya know? I'm just seeking what would makes these amazing. Also I know the text on them is horrid I'm still experimenting on how to make good text for work. One thing I'd like to do is add a more glowy flaring effect behind them, if you could please link me to some tutorials. All feedback is much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Mr Aka Posted July 18, 2013 Author Share Posted July 18, 2013 You could try Drop Shadow behind them - play with colours, the blur settings and then try different blend modes Something like this effect I like the Solstice Equinox one ... must be my inner pagan I like the neon.
