This works best on thinner, more rounded text or objects.  I used BP Neon from dafont: http://www.dafont.com/search.php?q=bp+neon'> HERE

First we need a background.  I used this to keep screenshots down in the tutorial: http://ipadwallpapersbybay.com/wallpaper/brick-wall-1-wallpaper.jpg'>HERE

Plugins needed:

http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=16643'> AA - Assistant

http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=11514'> Bevel Selection

http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=8375'> Drop Shadow

http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=18811'> Vignette

Optional later on:

http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?showtopic=885'> Conditional Hue/ Saturation

Nice edit klaxxon ... I only ever used to letters and nice to see what other letters/ numbers are available ... you're one year out with my birth date  :evillaugh:

Nice Daniels.  Love that colour.  Pink is so close to purple but purple is such a great colour

Yes, it seems that I rushed to the statement.

However, 5 ÷ 10 years is not that long but it makes me feel a little younger.

I wish you much health that is better than all!

Amazing work everyone, that is a good indecation that Welshy's tut is clear and easy to follow, which it is indeed

Great tut mate and nice result again, it is always nice to see how you do things in PDN, thanks so much for sharing the knowledge.

Thanks VP ... with my kids I've banged my head against enough brick walls for a close up view ;)

I love that blue - very electric

Thanks Yusuf Zah and DoomSayer, glad you enjoyed it.

@ DoomSayer ... I only label layers in tutes - believe me I get mightily confused when an image is 100 + ... I spend more time clicking layers on and off than if I actually took the time to label them.

A bad habit I haven't got out of yet

Loved this tutorial, used it in a banner for a producing and DJ duo, ParaDux, with a friend of mine and me.

I like the outcome myself, but feedback could be welcome, so I can improve it a bit maybe.

Very useful and well written.

Thanks Welshblue!

@chimay12321

Stylized letter A in the center is impossible triangle I think.

Very interesting!

Yes it is the impossible triangle ^^ It's the logo of us. I wanted to try on shades in that logo some more, so that it gives more depth, it is only by it's colours to distinguish it's nature as an impossible triangle right now.

Lol, I am so bad at paint.net

Who told you that ?

In all honesty this is the best spin on this tute that I've seen. Including my own. Excellent ambience with it - nice and clean too
