Working with freeform images

On a new layer, I used the line and curve tools to draw the outline of a human figure. I want to fill the shape with a color. However, I can't figure out how to select the entire figure so that I can fill it using the Paint Bucket tool. How can I do that?

You can use the magic wand. It selects areas of similar color to the area clicked. Click inside the figure and you should be good to go.

If the outline of the figure is completely closed, you can just use the Paint Bucket tool to fill the inside.
