BlueOla
How to resize the image without changing the size of the background? When I try it makes the picture fit exactly into the background when that is not what I want to do. Also the image is in a different layer than the background
Visual
If the element you want to make smaller is on a top layer you just select all, copy and paste it into a new image on a second layer to keep the transparency. Reduce the image 10 percent or whatever. Select all, copy and paste to a new layer back to the first image. Then delete the layer you don't want. pdnnoob
Once you get the object that needs resizing on its own layer, select it and use the "move selected pixels" tool to resize it (drag the nubs that appear around the selection when the move tool is selected) Quote No, Paint.NET is not spyware...but, installing it is an IQ test. ~BoltBait Blend modes are like the filling in your sandwich. Visual
If you do not have objects on multiple layers, nothing will work. If it's just a flat one layer image you will be limited. You can post a link to it and we may be able to offer solutions.
BlueOla
I have the background and the image on different layers. I know, the manual resizing works, but it doenst keep the ratio and the picture is squashed in some way. Unless there is a way to fix it, in which case please tell me about it.
