willsmam
I would like to be able to shade certain rooms on a floor plan but still be able to read the text underneath. Just a pale pastel shade on say the bathroom would be grand. Could anyone give me guidance please?
pdnnoob
Layers to the rescue! 1. Add a new layer and set the layer blend mode to multiply 2. Color whatever you want to your heart's content Quote No, Paint.NET is not spyware...but, installing it is an IQ test. ~BoltBait Blend modes are like the filling in your sandwich. It's the filling that can change your experience of the sandwich. ~Ego Eram Reputo
Visual
You can use layer opacity also. Multiply will work but may change the colorization if the page isn't pure white (if that matters) Put a square selection above the room you want on a new page and fill it with any color. Go to layer property and reduce opacity to half or anything you like.
klaxxon
I used only Paint Bucket. For my virtual home design I use Chief Architect. Edited February 28, 2013 by klaxxon
