Scrolling different colors through text

Recommended Posts

It's been awhile since being on PDN and I can't find the tutorial where you have different colors scrolling horizonal

or vertical within the text. Think you created a .gif file to do this. Thanks for your help.

Sasha, Thanks for your information and efforts but here is what I was thinking about

and made in Lunapic. I know this can be made in PDN.

Type your text in white on a black layer, select all (ctrl+a), and copy (ctrl+c).

Then, make a color gradient using the multi-color gradient plugin

Duplicate the gradient layer and use the paneling plugin to shift the gradient in the desired direction (just a little bit)

Repeat until you get back to where you started

You should now have a sequence of colored gradients on separate layers that shift across the image.

Now, go to each layer and use the alpha mask import plugin to cut out your words from the gradients.

Save as a .agif or .apng file (you'll need to install the filetype plugin by Simon Brown)

Done!

pdnnoob method works perfect for all kinds of multi-color gradient,

But if you need to do just like the example you've posted, then there is a much easier method,

if pdnnnoobs method doesn't work for you, I will post you the easy one if you're interested

Thanks pdnnob, I'll need to download the .agif or .apng and give it a try.

Please do Yellowman, I can use all the "easier" that I can get.

 Sure,

You need Conditional Hue/Saturation and Animated Image plugins

1-On a New Transparent Layer, type your text in Red, “use default red of the PDN color palette”

2-Duplicate the layer 11 times, so you have total of 12 layers

3-Open Conditional Hue/Saturation on the top layer, choose Fade (horizontal), and move the top slider all the way to the left on “-180”, and click OK

4-Go to the second layer and move the slider of the Conditional Hue/Saturation to “-150” (HINT: clicking on the bar of the slider will move the slider 5 increments on each click)

Repeat step 4 on layer 3, 4, 5…..12, all layers. By adding 30 on each layer, then animate it with Animated Image plugin

Remember, more frames (layers) smoother animation.

UnFreeze to develope and save. Thanks for all of you helping me.
