Clone Shadows

Recommended Posts

To post a screenshot:

1. Recreate the problem you've experienced.

2. Press the Print Screen button on your keyboard when the problem is on the screen.

3. Create a new Paint.NET image at your screen resolution and paste the screenshot into it. (Print Screen requests are automatically placed on the clipboard, so you need only [Crtl]+v to paste the screenshot.)

4. Save the image in a web-usable format (.jpg, .png, .gif).

5. If you have a hosting space, upload the image there. If you don't, you can get image hosting free at http://www.photobucket.com. Upload the image, then post a new message here with the image url enclosed in [ img ][ /img ] bbCode tags (without the spaces, of course).

I hope that helps!

I believe the clone "shadows" you mention are just an artifact of the way the clone stamp is currently implemented. We've had a bug filed to fix this for quite some time, which a strong warning on it not to punt the bug to the next release :)

Sorry, that screenshot shows up as a red-X (not found).

It sounds like you're describing 'trails' that the brush preview circle is leaving behind. That should be fixed in the new Beta 1 release, try it out.

The beta just came out today :) If you have auto-updates enabled, you would have been notified within a few days anyway (a dialog box would have popped up inside Paint.NET).
