plugins there then not there

Hello,

I am a newbie to this site. I have been using Paint sparingly for about a year. I downloaded plugin that renders beautiful buttons bouton.dll. I downloaded it yesterday,installed it and rendered some nice buttons. i later downloaded a couple other plugins, and the button plugin was gone and the 2 new never showed up (don't know for sure if related one called diffuse and specular). Checked under render and adjustments (and everywhere else). have restarted and rebooted, tried uninstalling and reinstalling paint, reinstalled plugins, still no joy. any suggestions? thanks in advance.

Sounds like you might have accidentally copied one of Paint.NET's files into the Effects directory. Make sure you only have plugins in there, and nothing that says "PaintDotNet.Whatever.dll"
