deltafour1212
I am interested in Digital Fantasy Photo Manipulation. I have looked all over this site to find an example of what Paint.net can do in this area. Yet I cannot find one. Does anyone know where I can find a Fantasy Photo using Paint.net? Thank you Delta Edited October 31, 2012 by deltafour1212
pdnnoob
Do you have a picture example of what you are trying to accomplish? "Digital Fantasy Photo Manipulation" is pretty broad. pdnnoob
That helps a lot. Thanks! EDIT: Just wanted to say...an extremely important, yet often overlooked factor in photo manipulations is that you need to have a good photo to begin with. If your photo isn't good, your photo manipulation cannot be much better, so choose your photo wisely (or take good photos like a pro!) The first image looks to me like a simple color and lighting adjustment with some well-placed abstract lines and spots. For ideas on how to do the lines, check out these two tutorials: http://forums.getpai...e-sig-tutorial/ http://forums.getpai...m-my-joker-sig/ Use the levels and hue&saturation adjustments to edit the color/lighting The second image looks like it is just a really cool photo with some color adjustment to change the mood. I would recommend using the color balance or curves adjustments to get the color the way you want it. Here's a tutorial that explains how the curves adjustment works: http://forums.getpai...-way-to-purple/ Let us know if you need additional help! barbieq25
What you are trying to achieve is the manipulation of various photos, renders or stock images to create a particular genre of work. There are not a lot of people working in this particular genre but if you look here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/23117-jim100361-my-stuff/page__st__280 you will see how Jim has combined photos & other stock images to create a new image. There are of course many other fine examples in various galleries but Jim's photo manips are very cool. You can also create all of the elements yourself & I would suggest looking here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/10135-welshblue-air-cooled/ and here: http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/14694-yellowman/ Again this is just a tiny sample of the excellent works achieved by some users. Take a stroll through the galleries to see what you can find. We are always willing to share ideas & knowledge Quote Knowledge is no burden to carry.
