Noswad Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Is there any way to put PDN on a CD? I got a new laptop, and I want all the effects I already had on my desktop. Can I put PDN on a CD and then download it to my new laptop?? If so, could you walk me through it? Quote Nos
nitenurse79 Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 Why don't you simply Copy/Paste your plug-ins onto a USB drive, then download the pdn installer and do the same with that? Quote
BoltBait Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 I find it best to always redownload plugins and Paint.NET when doing a fresh install. That way, you get all the latest plugins. Plugin authors often make changes and republish plugins. It pays to redownload every so often just to stay current. Quote Download: BoltBait's Plugin Pack | CodeLab | and a Free Computer Dominos Game
HELEN Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 You will be able to copy PDN into a CD (or flash drive), but you won't be able to download NEW plugins. Noswad Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 Hmm. I guess I'll just re-install then. Now if I can just remember which plugins I downloaded. Thanks! Quote Nos
Rick Brewster Posted October 26, 2012 Posted October 26, 2012 The suggestion of always reinstalling plugins is a good one for the reasons BoltBait mentions. In a pinch, however, it should also work to just copy the Effects and FileTypes directories to the new system. I fully understand that sometimes (or often) (or always!), it just isn't something that's fun to do. Noswad Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 I think I have (for the most part) gotten my effects on this computer. Thanks, everyone! Quote Nos
