SAND33P
Simple enough to say, instead of using the 'Rotate / Zoom' tool, having an option much like in the 'Image' button, were you can rotate by 90 degrees quickly. It's merely for sake of convenience
Rick Brewster
Hold down shift while rotating with the Move Selected Pixels tool, or while rotating the globe thingy w/ Rotate Zoom. 1 Quote The Paint.NET Blog: https://blog.getpaint.net/ Donations are always appreciated! https://www.getpaint.net/donate.html

ljensen
For those who didn't know (like me, until I studied the Help in response to this thread) you can rotate using the Move Selected Pixels tool by right-clicking in the selection. This also applies to the Move Selection tool. I have often wished for exactly this capability but never thought to try the right-click approach. Suggestion: rename "Move Selected Pixels" to "Move/Rotate Selected Pixels" (and similar for Move Selection), as a signal that this is possible, to signal that the capability is there. I simply assumed it was not possible.
nitenurse79
Well, it's called the "Roll Control" in the code ... I prefer the "globe thingy" Roll Control is too much of a NASA-like name thingy.
