DinoDrawer
Hi everyone, I have a question. I draw a lot of animal pictures and I hate having to photoshop a picture into the background. Is it possible to make realistic backgrounds, like forests, plains or deserts, for my drawings?
Ego Eram Reputo
Yes it is. jim100361
Is it possible to make realistic backgrounds, like forests, plains or deserts, for my drawings? Possible? Yes. Will you be able to do it quickly? It depends upon the level or "realism" you're striving for I suppose. My suggestion would be to go to the tutorial section and wade through the several tutorials covering textures ( http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/forum/28-textures/ ). Also, Dug has done some surreal stuff that are in his gallery over in the Pictorium. Visit his first page and see how some of his latest stuff might fit your taste, and if you ask him nicely, maybe he can give you some pointers ( http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?/topic/20490-dugs-gallery-new-july-29-eye-sore-p1/ ). I hope this helps you ... at least gets you going. BTW, I think there's a plugin that creates tree shapes (branches maybe?) as well (not that I've used it). So, you may wish to meander in that direction also and see what plugins might be useful (many of the tutorials will list plugins you need as well, and provide a link for the plugin(s) used in that particular tutorial).
