korteck
I must be overlooking something. I can't figure out the purpose of the smooth/sharp option in the text. I've done lots of tests and the anti aliasing always seems to override whichever smooth or sharp option I choose. If that's the case, then why is there an option in the text to begin with? I searched this subject first but I didn't find this specific subject talked about. What am I missing here? Thanks
Rick Brewster
"Smooth" uses GDI+ for rendering and generally looks very good, although at small text sizes it quite often does not look optimal. "Sharp" uses GDI for rendering and looks good, especially at smaller text sizes. It doesn't look as smooth or as anti-aliased. When AA is disabled, it doesn't matter if you choose Smooth or Sharp. It will always use GDI.
