jtlightner
I have used Paint.NET for years and suggested it to a friend - he went and Google'd it and this Google Advertisment popped up for: ***p://download-paint-net.com/ This site has "Download Now" posted all over it and downloads a 683KB installer file. I know Paint.NET always links to Sourceforge and downloads a zip file so I wanted to alert everyone regarding this. Rick Brewster
Please don't download from there. Their redistribution of Paint.NET is illegal. It's tough to get these taken down -- they keep popping back up. PLEASE report ads like this to Google (or Bing, etc.) when you see them. Also, Paint.NET has never linked to Sourceforge so I'm not sure how you got that impression. Rick Brewster
Also I edited the title to BE LESS SHOUTY. Please don't post in all caps like that, even for something like this. As Rick says report any add like that to google or any other search location, most people know where to get PDN, sadly many others fall prey to Phishing scams. Reason for edit - poor spelling. Be nice nitenurse He couldn't have known that would happen. The easiest way to steer someone towards Paint.NET is, "just type paint.net into the google." Or maybe he just recommended it by name and that's what his buddy did. nitenurse79
I'm always nice I am just saying that personally I would either write down the web address or email them a link to download software, google (and others) are not always the safest place to aquire things.
