How to make spokes in a wheel?

Years ago, I had a paint program that would let draw a line, copy the line, and when pasteing I could tell how many copies and at what angle. Is there some way to do this in Paint.net? More precisely I am needing wheel with 365 spokes.

TIA

Good heavens...that's a lot of spokes!

The plugin I immediately thought of was the kaleidoscope plugin (in madjik's plugin pack?), but unfortunately, that can only make 100 spokes for you. With a little math, though, you could quickly make your wheel manually...all you need is the align object plugin (and a square image canvas)

1. Add a new layer.

2. Draw a horizontal line all the way across the canvas (use the line tool and hold shift).

3. Use the "Align Object" plugin to center the line

4. Duplicate the layer

5. Use the "Rotate/Zoom" tool (Ctrl+Shift+Z) to rotate the line 360/365 degrees

6. Merge the layer down

7. Duplicate again and use the tool again to rotate 2(360/365) degrees

Keep up the pattern until you have all the spokes you need. For you math people, here's an equation describing the degrees of rotation for each iteration:

D=[2^(n-1)](360/365)degrees

EDIT: Just tried it myself and here's something you might want to do:

After you rotate by 63.12 degrees, stop before merging down. Duplicate the top layer and repeat the rotation. You will notice the part that overlaps looks a little messy. Select quadrant 1 of your image (top right quarter) and hit delete, then do the same for quadrant 3 (bottom left).

I hope that helps! Let me know if you have questions :)

Try the Kaleidoscope Plugin: http://forums.getpai...-effect-plugin/

As I said, maximum of 100 pieces :/

How about using the kaleidoscope plugin to make 73 spokes and rotate that around in 5 layers (73 * 5 =365)?

Not sure if it works, but it's at least just 6 steps now, right?

Not a bad idea, actually. That would also cut down on the rounding error.
